See something? Send it our way.
Submerged vehicles are often hidden, abandoned, and unreported. If you've seen one, heard about one, or know of one — tell us. Reports go directly into our recovery pipeline.
Four steps from your tip to our recovery list.
Email us what you know: location (GPS coordinates if you have them), how you became aware of the vehicle, approximate depth or visibility, and any photos.
Within 7 days we follow up with any clarifying questions. Reports stay confidential unless you authorize otherwise.
Confirmed reports go into our recovery queue. Once operational, we deploy ROV reconnaissance to verify and assess complexity.
Recoveries are scheduled in coordination with law enforcement, lake authorities, and funding availability. You'll be notified when yours is on the calendar.
The more we know, the faster we move.
Nothing on this list is required — include what you have. We follow up for the rest.
Lake or river name, nearest landmark, GPS coordinates if available, approximate distance from shore, and any access notes (private property, restricted area, etc.).
When you became aware of the vehicle, how (saw it personally, heard from someone, found on sonar, etc.), and approximate time it's been there if known.
Vehicle type if visible (car, truck, boat, etc.), depth estimate, visibility from surface or shore, any unique identifying features.
Surface photos, sonar images, dive video, or screenshots from fishing electronics — whatever you have. Attach to your email.
Before you submit.
- This is not an emergency service. If you have just witnessed an accident, a vehicle going into the water, or believe someone may be inside a submerged vehicle, call 911 immediately. Fathom Restoration handles long-cycle recovery, not active rescue.
- Confidentiality. Your name and contact info stay with us. We do not publish reporter information without explicit permission. We may share confirmed vehicle locations with law enforcement if there is a potential criminal or evidentiary concern.
- We are pre-operational. Active recoveries start in Q1 2027 (target), pending funding. Reports received now go into our queue and will be among the first addressed when we're operational.
- Property and access. If the vehicle is on or near private property, we work with the owner and any relevant agencies before any recovery activity. Reports do not authorize trespass.
- Costs. Reporting is free. Recovery is free for owners, public, and partners — that's what donor and grant funding pays for.
