Clara Hatcher from The Park Record spent a Wednesday afternoon on the boat with us at Deer Creek Reservoir. Her story ran October 2, with photos by Jonathan Herrera.

Clara, thank you for taking the time to see the work up close and for telling it straight. Jon, those are the best photos anyone has taken of us. We owe you both.
What Came Up
On September 30, Blake Welch and I dove the Rainbow Bay area. Mike Swenson ran the boat and George Arthur worked the deck.
Paddles
Fishing tackle
Beer cans
Chunks of glass
Chip bags
Sunglasses
Hats
About 18 pounds by our estimate.
Rainbow Bay Is Not Empty Yet
That makes two crew dives in the same bay and about 58 pounds out. Every time we go back, the bottom has more for us.
This was a crew dive, certified volunteers on our own time. More on the lake is on our Deer Creek Reservoir page.
If You Want In
You do not need a certification to help, and you do not need to get wet.
Come to a cleanup. Dates go up on our website as they are confirmed.
Report something. If you have seen trash, a vessel, or a vehicle on the bottom of a Utah lake, tell us at fathomrestoration.org.
Donate. It helps get more volunteers in the water.
Fathom Restoration is a disabled-veteran-led Utah 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to lake cleanup and the recovery of submerged vehicles, vessels, and debris from Utah's lakes and waterways. Donate / Volunteer / Report a vehicle at fathomrestoration.org.
